Amqui, Québec

Amqui is a town in eastern Quebec at the base of the Gaspé peninsula. Located on the Matapédia River, it is the seat of La Matapédia Regional County Municipality. Amqui will become the first town in Quebec to ban single-use plastic bags, effective the spring of 2008. [1]
