Biggar, Saskatchewan

Biggar is a town located in Saskatchewan, Canada. It is the hometown of 1998 Olympic gold medalist in women's curling, Sandra Schmirler. Its former Member of Parliament was M.J. Coldwell, the leader of the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation in the 1940s and 1950s. He represented the town for 23 years, from 1935-1958 and was one of the architects of Canada's social safety net. [1]
